We are pleased to introduce our new Stir Crazy Thai branding at all our branches. This new look extends to our eat-in and take-away menus as well as the newly developed website you are visiting now! The cool new look perfectly represents our restaurants, especially with the logo cleverly resembling fresh ingredients moving within a fiery wok – exactly what Stir Crazy Thai is all about! Exciting New Manly Restaurant Opening

We are pleased to announce the official opening of another exclusive restaurant - Mortar & Pestle, Manly. Mortar & Pestle offers a traditional, authentic Thai menu and has been highly praised for the excellent food being produced by our talented Thai chefs. The restaurant décor is completely new and modern – interiors include wood, marble, splashes of bright orange and greenery. The feature of our dining area has to be the 5m long communal white marble table in the middle of the restaurant – this is decorated with large stone mortar & pestles to bring the restaurant name to life! The official opening took place on Monday 6th October 2008 – not only a public holiday Monday, but the weekend of the Manly Jazz Festival, which really tested our team on the night! Stir Crazy Kirribilli Mark II - WOW!

After serving countless customers in its short 5-year life, Yai and Nok totally renovate Stir Crazy Kirriblli. Everything from the ground-up is new! But the same value for money, the freshest of produce and generous servings remain. Only now it's surrounded by the best designed restaurant in Sydney (for its size). But somethings never change - like the chaotic and busy kitchen, and booming Thai techno pop (and farung dance) music that continues to offer customers a unique dining experience. The Birth of Stir Crazy Thai - Look out Kirribilli

Yai joins forces with his business partner, Nok, to expand the business over the coat hanger. Stir Crazy Thai opens for business in a revamped chicken shop in the harbourside suburb of Kirribilli. Also small by stature, it quickly gains prominence on the lower north shore for its abundant use of fresh produce, chaotic scenes in a kitchen that encroaches the dining space, loud techno Thai pop music and the throngs of customers waiting outside for one of the 12 table or their nightly take-away fix.

Goodbye Bangkok Hello Sydney

Yai, the founder of Stir Crazy, migrates to Australia after working in the corporate world in Bangkok. Enrols in English language courses and finds work in the food industry in Farang restaurants and cafes. This introduction to the Sydney restaurant scene stirs Yai's desire to go it alone!
